Located in a part of the city blessed with greenery and interesting museums, this charming hotel recreates Portugal`s heyday during the reign of King Manuel I at the beginning of the 16th century. The Hotel Dom Manuel I was totally renovated in 2003, and despite the installation of the many modern facilities required for a comfortable stay, it never lost its original charm enhanced by the striking details of the Manueline style, a major architectural feature that appears on many of Lisbon`s key attractions. The care we bestow upon our guests is much in evidence when you enter any of the 64 rooms, with a nicely arranged bouquet of toiletries and a bottle of mineral water awaiting you on a silver tray placed on the work desk right in front of the bed. Soft pastel hues are perfectly combined with dark wood, of the same kind that dominate the reception area, thus guaranteeing the warmest of welcomes. |
