Herdade da Cortesia is a new four-star hotel idyllically located in Avis, on the banks of Maranhão dam, in the heart of Portugal's picturesque North Alentejo region. Covering 47 hectares of prime land, the estate has 30 bedrooms, some adapted for handicapped and non-smoking guests and all fitted with every modern convenience, including air-conditioning (with heating), large beds, safe-deposit box, mini-bar, direct-dial telephone and cable TV.
